Greetings WNCOS Members and Orchid Lovers,
Wow! Wow! Wow!!
It's official, the 22nd Asheville Orchid Festival was a huge success in every way. I could not be more proud and thankful to the members who volunteered their time and put in so much hard work to make this show happen. In many ways, this was the best show ever—thanks to everyone’s efforts, great or small, it all mattered!! And special thanks to all who shared their blooming orchids, what a beautiful display we had because of YOU.
Please come to this Sunday’s meeting to celebrate together. Yes, I know it is Easter, but hopefully you can find a couple of hours for the WNCOS monthly meeting. I especially want to invite all the new friends we met during the show that are interested in becoming members or joined our club this weekend. Our program topic will be 'Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Repotting, but were afraid to ask’ … a repotting/culture roundtable discussion with plenty of opportunity to ask those burning questions. Our guest speakers will be our very own more experienced member team eager to share their knowledge on everything from A to Z, sure to be lots of fun!
I’ll meet you at the Asheville Visitor Center on April 9th at 2:00pm, and by all means, bring your Show-And-Tell bloomers. Maybe you can bring that beauty that got a ribbon in the show! See you Sunday.
