A great big thank you to Bridget Uzar of Carter and Holmes, for that very engaging and entertaining July program, “Orchid MythBusters.” 

For our August 10th meeting, we’ll be on the road! Phyllis and Dale Ericson of Ironwood Estates Orchids who are longtime friends of WNCOS have invited us for a visit. They have been tried-and-true exhibitors at Asheville Orchid Festival over many years, and also have a lovely greenhouse in Hickory, full of every kind of orchid imaginable. This will be an ultimate shopping opportunity for WNCOS members, with an added bonus of a 10% discount on purchases over 50 dollars. 

If you are interested in carpooling, as driver or passenger, please plan to be at the Ivy Building at 11:30 on Sunday, August 10th. Whether carpooling or driving directly, we will meet at Ironwood Estates at 1:00 p.m. Please bring a lunch if you are so inclined. This will be a fun summer adventure, an orchid greenhouse immersion accompanied by WNCOS orchid lovers!
