November 2026 Newsletter

I hope everyone’s orchids are as bright and showy as our mountains are, what a great fall season we are having!

November’s speaker will be Lee Currey. Lee has recently relocated from Oregon to the Lexington NC area where he is soon to finish his new 30 x 100 greenhouse. He is also an AOS Accredited Judge. Click here to read more about Lee’s very interesting orchid history.

Lee will speak to us on a subject we all need to learn more about, pest and disease management. He encourages you to bring problem plants to be diagnosed—but if they are infested with crawly-live creatures, a picture may better serve! This will be a great opportunity to learn more about all-around orchid care.

Please plan to join us on November 8th at 2:00 at the Ivy Building, 9 Genevieve Circle. Lee will have plants for sale so come early to shop and socialize—and don’t forget you show-and-tell orchids
