On February 14th, the Western North Carolina Orchid Society will host a very special guest speaker. Ms. Wenging Perner with Hengduan Mountain Biotechnology Ltd. plans to share her program “Come with me to Western China – to see the fascinating orchids”. Today, I want to focus on a special opportunity for WNCOS members to purchase orchids that you cannot acquire just anywhere. Below are links to a spreadsheet of the orchids Wenging Perner offers for export (you can use either PDF or Excel). I strongly recommend you look at this offering closely. The deadline for ordering is February 20th. As I have done in the past with the Orchiata orders, I am offering to collect your pre-orders and compile them into one bulk order so there will be only one shipment (if you arent available to pick up you can also order independently). This should save a lot on shipping cost and logistics. The order will not ship from China until March. Once the plants arrive, you can pick them up from my greenhouse in Asheville, NC. Even though her deadline is February 20th, my deadline will be February 17th. This will give me some extra time to be sure the orders are complete.
