May 2026 Newsletter

For those lucky members who attended the WNCOS April meeting, renowned Vanda expert Dr. Martin Motes delivered a delightful and in-depth program. For this month’s meeting, May 10, we have another orchid specialist, Eric Sauer of River Valley Orchids. 

Eric has been growing orchids for 30 years and specializes in new world orchid species from South America, with a focus on Phragmipedium, Maxillaria, and Brassia. Traveling from Dayton, Ohio, Eric will speak to us on “Expanding Your Orchid Collection,” something we can all relate to. Eric will also have orchids for sale and will fill our raffle table with some of his special beauties. To learn more about Eric, click here. 

The May10th meeting will start at 2:00pm, but come early to shop and socialize. Since it will be Mother’s Day, bring Mom along and buy her an orchid!
